Flying While Pregnant

As Fly Blue Jet Air, we aim and strive to ensure that our pregnant passengers have a smooth flight experience. We encourage pregnant passengers to carefully review this page, where they will have access to detailed information about their travel.

The admission of prospective mothers who want to travel by plane to flights varies according to the policies of the airline companies. Some companies may request a medical report from the prospective mothers in terms of suitability for flight. Do not forget to check the passenger rules before you buy a flight ticket as a prospective mother.

Travel of Pregnant Passengers

The flight of prospective mothers may vary depending on the number of weeks they are pregnant and their health status. Especially long-haul or overseas passengers need to obtain a doctor's permit, even if they are in good health. Since we consider the information given to us by the passengers, it is very important for our passengers to provide us with accurate information about this issue to avoid any health problems during or after the flight.

If our pregnant passengers have not yet reached 28 weeks of gestation, they can travel without getting a medical report. Pregnant passengers who expect a single baby can fly between the 28th and the end of the 35th week of gestation by presenting a medical report stating that "She can travel by plane". Similarly, a medical report is required for our passengers who are expecting multiple babies and who are between the beginning of the 28th week and the end of the 31st week of gestation. We are not allowed to accept our passengers who expect a single baby and have entered the 36th week of gestation and those who expect multiple babies and have entered the 32nd week of gestation on flights even if they have a medical report.

Pregnant passengers who can fly by presenting a medical report must receive this report in Turkish or English within 7 days before the flight date. The report must be written on the letterhead of the doctor or the health institution he/she works for, and the doctor's name, surname, diploma number, signature, and the date of the report must be written on it.
