If you encounter such baggage problems after your flight, we kindly ask you to apply to the Baggage Services Desk for Fly Blue Jet Air flights before leaving the destination airport to prepare a report and to provide the requested information completely.
Our guests who experience a lost/delayed baggage problem at the destination airport should apply to the Lost Luggage Office for Fly Blue Jet Air flights with the following documents and get a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) issued.
Required Documents: Passenger Name Record, ticket and boarding pass, baggage tag, and identity documents. Providing detailed information about your baggage will facilitate the work to find it more quickly and more efficiently.
You will be contacted to arrange delivery, subject to customs clearance when your baggage is found and permitted by local law. If we are unable to deliver your baggage to you, you will be asked to pick up it at our local agent at the destination airport. If your baggage is not found after 3 days of flight, please contact us.
In case of damaged baggage issues for damages that are not immediately noticeable, a written application must be made to the carrier within seven days from the date of arrival in accordance with the relevant legal regulations. Fly Blue Jet Air's legal liability is eliminated in case of a delay for the application.
Although they travel together, guests with different Passenger Name Records are kindly requested to indicate this in the baggage issue report. Our guests who cannot submit the baggage tag and Property Irregularity Report (PIR) issued in their name will lose their right to claim. We kindly request you to communicate the electronic copies of the information and documents listed below to the Fly Blue Jet Air Lost and Damaged Baggage Department for actions to be taken in line with Fly Blue Jet Air procedures regarding baggage issues.
Required Documents: Damaged baggage report, passenger name record, ticket and boarding pass, baggage tag, a photo of the damaged baggage, baggage brand and model details for the damaged baggage, repair invoice if the baggage is repaired; if your baggage is damaged in a way that cannot be repaired, you need to get a confirmation for this.
In case of any damage, loss, or delay of the checked baggage during the carriage, the liability of Fly Blue Jet Air as a carrier is limited in accordance with applicable legal regulations. Therefore, valuable documents, money, identity documents, official bills, jewelry, precious metals, electronic devices, and tangible or intangible high-value items should not be carried in the checked baggage. In case carrying them, Fly Blue Jet Air does not assume any liability beyond the applicable liability limits in accordance with legal regulations. We recommend our guests who have a risk exceeding the liability limits get special travel insurance.
Hand baggage and its contents are under the control and responsibility of passengers. Damages related to forgotten, lost, damaged items in the aircraft are the responsibility of the relevant passenger. Fly Blue Jet Air does not assume any responsibility in this context.
In case you could not receive your baggage after the delay period has elapsed and it has been lost for more than 14 days, please contact us by adding the following details.
Required Details: Property Irregularity Report reference number (PIR number) given to you at the airport when you report that your baggage is lost at the destination airport, your passenger name record, contact details, etc.
You must keep your baggage tag and boarding pass until your baggage arrives for the subsequent procedure. Necessary investigations are carried out to detect the baggage that does not have a baggage tag, i.e, untagged baggage in our system; however, no evaluation can be made about any possible financial loss. Make sure that you are given a copy of your baggage tag when delivering your baggage to the attendants at check-in.
In case of the unfortunate event that your luggage is declared lost, we will contact you to provide compensation according to the applicable contract.
